A Webmaster is an expert in building, maintaining, and further optimising websites. They are generally proficient in HyperText Markup Language (HTML) and at least one relevant programming language (like Python).

- Webmasters often work closely with SEO Managers, Content Managers, and Developers to ensure a website is well-built, maintained, and SEO optimised
- They continuously monitor and analyse a website’s performance to find ways for improvement
- Webmasters need to be experts at debugging pages and fixing broken images, links, or other elements of the website
- Webmasters can be employed by any type of organisation, within any type of industry, as long as the company has at least one website
