A Telesales Executive, or in some cases a Telemarketer, is a member of the sales team who will contact clients, potential customers, or previous customers by telephone. Their aim will be to sell, or upsell, products and services.
Essential parts of a Telesales’ job description:
- Telesales Executives will often work with a wider customer service team to help identify potential customers. They will make initial contact with these individuals to help generate sales.
- Occasionally, Telesales Executives may have to deal with troubleshooting or complaints, so they will need to be great problem solvers.
- Telesales Executives can also be called Telesales Representatives, Telemarketers, or Telephone Salespersons.
- This role is a huge part of e-commerce businesses but will be present in most B2B and B2C businesses as a whole.
