A Bartender is an excellent people person. They’re known for being able to whip up a range of cocktails, pour the perfect pint of beer and serve up excellent wine selections. However, this isn’t all a Bartender does. They’re also excellent at cleaning, and help to keep the bar area neat and tidy.
Essential parts of a Bartender’s job description:
- Bartenders are excellent communicators and will be able to make customers feel welcome in the bar. They’ll be able to recommend drinks
- They will have memorised a series of cocktails and mocktail recipes, and be able to prepare these at an efficient speed without impacting quality.
- Depending on the business, Bartenders may also have the freedom to advise and create new recipes.
- Bartenders will usually work in hotels, bars, clubs and similar establishments.
